WhereNext Experiences aims to positively impact local communities by donating 1% of sales to environmental groups, supporting micro financing for developing countries, planting trees and of course the work of our volunteers in animal conservation and environmental protection.

Our Charities

1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual memberships and everyday actions. We advise on giving strategies, we certify donations and we amplify the impact of our network. WhereNext Experiences is a member and will be donating 1% of sales to approved charities and activist groups to support environmental action.

One Tree Planted is a 501 charity with a mission to help global reforestation efforts. The organisation is built on a network of individuals, businesses, and schools who either donate monetarily or volunteer to help plant trees around the world. WhereNext Experiences will be planting trees for every experience booked with us.

Pledge 1% is a global movement that inspires, educates, and empowers every entrepreneur, company, and employee to be a force for good. Over 10,000 members in 100 countries have used Pledge 1%’s flexible framework to ignite half a billion dollars in new philanthropy. WhereNext Experiences is a proud Pledge 1% member and will be donating 1% of Product, 1% of Time and 1% of Profits to environmental charities.

More than 1.7 billion people around the world are unbanked and can’t access the financial services they need. Kiva is an international nonprofit, founded in 2005 in San Francisco, with a mission to expand financial access to help underserved communities thrive. WhereNext Experiences is a proud Kiva Supporter and will be creating a fund for environmental and social projects in developing countries.

Our Story

At WhereNext Experiences, we're more than just a group of travel enthusiasts. We're a purpose-driven company on a mission to make a positive impact in the world, one volunteer experience at a time. We started our journey during the pandemic, when the world came to a halt and we realized how much we missed exploring new places and cultures. But instead of just waiting for things to go back to normal, we decided to create something new, something that would combine our passion for travel with our desire to give back to local communities.

Our inspiration came from other great companies that share our values, like Patagonia and Salesforce. We believe that business can be a force for good, and we want to prove it by offering life-changing experiences to our volunteers and supporting local organizations that are making a difference in the world.

One of the things that inspired us the most is Salesforce's Volunteer Time Off (VTO) initiative. As part of their Pledge 1% commitments, Salesforce employees can take up to 7 days off each year to give back to society. They can volunteer in their local community or travel to other countries to work on meaningful projects. We think this is an amazing way to make a difference, and we want to offer similar opportunities to our volunteers.

We've already had some amazing experiences that we'll never forget. One of them was in Nepal, where we helped a local NGO refurbish a women's refuge for victims of human trafficking. We painted, renovated, and cleaned the refuge to make it a more welcoming and comfortable place for the women who stayed there. It was a humbling and rewarding experience that showed us the power of working together to make a positive change in the world.
